"Despite the rising acceptance in the concepts of sustainable building, there still remains a large challenge toward widespread acceptance and long-term practice, and despite the growing awareness in sustainable practices, green products, and high-performance technologies in building design and construction, many worry that there continues to be a lack of accurate, thorough, and quantifiable information regarding the financial and economic impacts of high-performance buildings within the construction and home building industry. In addition, there are also hurdles when it comes to the perception of cost, which has become a stumbling block in the quicker acceptance of green building concepts."

The True Engineer in association with Design2Occupancy Services LLP is organizing a 3-day simulation workshop on "Green Building Design & Daylight simulation" and a 5-day Manali excursion along with it. Explore the potential of Green Technology this winter and enjoy the Snow covered Himalayas.

Mid-Term Review of Project and Dissertation

The mid term review of project and dissertation will be conducted on 29-11-2014. Please adhere to the following guidelines

1. Each student will have 5 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion.
2. Include only the objectives and results which you have obtained
3. Don't include introduction and literature review

The presentations will start at 9.00 AM in CAD Lab (206, SET VI). All the students should be present for the presentation, even though if he/she is not presenting. 

No student will be allowed to prepare PPT during the review. All the students are requested to come prepared and load their presentation in the desktop at 9.00 AM.

The following students have dues against their name. You are adviced to clear the dues ASAP. If there is any discrepancy, contact the OSD office.
You may not be allowed to appear in the ETE, if dues are not cleared.

Mid-Term Review of Project and Dissertation

The id-term review for Project and Dissertation will be conducted on 29-11-2014. The students are required to present their work before the review committee.

CIVIL ENGINEERING SOFTWARE workshop

CIVIL ENGINEERING SOFTWARE workshop will begin sharply 
 at  10 am, Nov 8, 2014.

•  Registered students are requested to come before 9:30 am.
•  Students must bring their own laptops and pen drive.
•  Certificates will be issued for all the participants.
• It would be better if you have the software already installed in your laptops.

Seminar: Update 2

Include the "abstract" in the beginning of the report (draft).
And merge introduction and literature survey under the heading "Introduction and literature survey".
Cite/refer all your references in the body of the manuscript.
Do not list any references without referring/ without giving citation in the body of the text (manuscript).
