CVL634: Prestressed Concrete Design - Summer Term - MTE and CA

The CA Marks for the subject CVL634: Prestressed Concrete Design will be awarded based on the performance in the Class Tests. The syllabus for the four class tests is given below:

  1. Test 1: Short term and long term deflections of cracked and uncracked members.
  2. Test 2: Limit analysis of prestressed concrete beam section for flexure, shear and torsion.
  3. Test 3: Transfer of prestress in pre-tensioned and post-tensioned members.
  4. Test 4: Elastic Design of rectangular prestressed concrete beam sections
  5. Test 5: Introduction to design of continuous beams, piles and sleepers
The syllabus for Mid-Term Exam is as follows:
  1. Materials, methods and systems of prestressing and Indian Standard recommendations.
  2. Short term and long term deflections of cracked and uncracked members
  3. Elastic analysis of prestressed concrete beams with different cable profiles.
  4. Analysis of prestressed concrete beam section for flexure, shear and torsion.
